she want him to kiss her? Finn parted his lips in anticipation.
He’d
never found danger to be a turn-on, but apparently he’d discovered a brand-new world
with Monica Beggs. He leaned closer, inhaling a deep breath. Her breasts pushed
out to brush his chest.
The
heat from her body shot straight through his shirt and burned his skin. Finn
blinked, realizing how captivated he’d become in a not so ridiculous situation.
He’d bloody well better get his mind back in the game if he didn’t want to spend
the rest of the day and most of the night making new friends down at the
precinct.
Reluctantly,
he tore his gaze from her luscious body and forced himself to ignore the tight,
heavy passion in his groin and in his increased pulse. Getting Monica away safely
was too important to let inappropriate thoughts interfere. His fingers found
and grasped the cool metal he’d been groping for along the crease of the seat.

sweetheart.” Finn winked, shooting for humor to offset the tension.
Monica’s
startled gaze dropped to the seatbelt across her lap. Squeezing her eyes
closed, she leaned her head back and let out a self-deprecating laugh.
Finn
smiled as he stepped away and shut her door. A sensuous flame had ignited
between them, a spark they
were both drawn to like the proverbial moths.
