One
of my favorite types of heroines are the ones who decide to take charge of
their lives.
They’re
not the ones who lay down and take it. If life throws them lemons, then they
throw the lemons right back and fly the finger in the face of fate!
I’m
coming out with a new contemporary action-adventure romance very soon titled:
Monica Beggs
This
heroine isn’t your sweet, simpering librarian.
She
isn’t a doctor, lawyer, billionaire, or sheriff either.
She’s
a porn star. Tarnished character right out of the gate.
Here’s
a snippet to wet your… uh… whistle:
“How much time do we have?”
Finn smiled, his boyish charm shining through. “Twenty minutes,
why?”
His mouth dropped and he looked aghast. “Maybe for you. But honey,
I have afterburners you know nothing about.”
Sticklers for being on time, the military were precise. Right down
to the second. If twenty minutes remained on the clock, more like nineteen now,
Moni wanted every moment to count.
“There’s something I’ve wondered since you buckled my seatbelt.”
His eyes tracked her tongue as she moistened her lips.
Finn rose from the bed to stand in front of her, between her legs. “Ask me.”
The pole raising a tent in his jeans hovered so near her face.
Need thrummed, tension coiled, building a delicious density in her core. It
took all the willpower she possessed to not tilt forward and stroke him with
the tip of her nose.
No, not yet…
She waited. Remaining quiet, until his hands flexed into fisted
balls not once, but twice.
Now.
“Are you sweet—” Moni leaned, keeping her hands gripped to the
bed, and inhaled his musky virile scent as she drew the side of her nose along
his hard length. “Or spicy?”

For me it's important that a heroine take charge of her own life. Waiting for someone to do it for her could have here waiting for a very long time. Just like in life.
